My name is Faheema Gani and I am a qualified Complementary & Alternative medicine practitioner and board-certified physician. The Tibb Doctor is a brand I’ve dreamed of creating ever since I chose the path of Holistic medicine. I specialise in the philosophy of Greco-Arabic medicine also known as Unani medicine, Persian medicine, traditional Iranian medicine and so many other names. I like to call it “Progressive medicine with traditional roots”. This philosophy is something I firmly stand by and practice daily. I am truly excited to practice this ancient philosophy that I resonate so deeply with and combine it with scientifically-proven treatment interventions for a truly integrative approach. There’s nothing in this world that I’m more passionate about than helping people become the healthiest, happiest and highest versions of themselves.
My background:
I started my tertiary education journey at the Madina Institute to deepen my knowledge and understanding of religion and spirituality. I went on to complete 5 years of complementary and alternative medicine, 2 of which were focused on Unani Tibb specifically. I completed my training and 2 years of practical experience at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town. I then trained under the guidance of the doctors at the Ibn Sina institute of Tibb founded by one of the leading researchers of Tibb in South Africa, Professor R. Bhika. I then relocated to the UAE to gain international experience and broaden my scope of practice by acquiring knowledge, skills and techniques through training under leading specialists in the fields of cardiology, pathology, ENT, gynaecology, orthopaedics, endocrinology, urology and physiotherapy.
I have now established a practice in Centurion, South Africa to bring home everything I’ve learned and serve my community to the best of my ability empowering them to live healthier wholesome lifestyles. I highly appreciate every ounce of your support and can’t wait to see you in my practice soon!
